When I think Blog Lockdown, I think securing WordPress... and you should too.
But how do we do that?
Is it possible to completely lockdown our blog?
What is the most important thing we need to know in the blog lockdown system?

John's Blog Lockdown System
There are a ton of things you can do to lockdown your blog, but a great security system will involve a number of things:
- Your involvement
- Use strong and different passwords for your sites
- Customization
- Encryption
- A well balanced round of security plugins
- Being properly prepared for an attack
- Restricting key areas of your blog
- Securing third party programs which interact with your blog

Being prepared is definitely a big one because there really is no way to 100% lockdown your blog against intruders. But there's a big difference in being prepared and not being prepared, most of which will cost you money, time, and pain.
How To Be PreparedTo be properly prepared for an intrusion, you'll need to first realize that this is going to take a little of your time every now-and-then. Without a little involvement from you, the blog lockdown system won't work.
Next, you'll need to do two things:
- Back up your database
- Back up your hosting files

Is It Possible to Completely Lockdown our Blog?
Oh how I wish it were, but in truth there is no way to completely secure our blogs against intruders.
However... it is possible to greatly increase our blog's security and make it a whole heck of a lot harder to crack into.
So How Can We Increase Our Chances of Not Getting Hacked?There are a number of "tactics" you can do to increase your blog's security, but what you need to do today is set aside a little time to first educate yourself.
That is how you're going to lockdown your blog.
That's how you're going to stay safe.
